Syed Jahed Hossain

Syed Jahed Hossain (Bengali: সৈয়দ জাহেদ হোসেন) is a Bangladeshi author, poet and human rights activist. He has written self help books, poetry. He is a former employee of UNDP. Hossain was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh  and grew up in a village called Nanupur. He attended Nanupur Abu Sobhan High School, Government Hazi Mohammed Mohsin College in 1995, University of Chittagong 2002. During his job in UNDP, Hossain working with Myanmer Rohinga Refugee in Bangladesh. He is doing lots of community works in Bangladesh and UK. He is the regular blood doner of British Blood Bank. Hossain realated with Papworth Trust, British Heart Foundation etc. Syed awarded Highest Blood Doner certificate from British Blood Bank and Shondhani Blood Bank in Bangladesh. He wrote many books, Nirbak Attosomorpon, Chondrabatha, Give Up Waiting For Good Luck are the best of them.
 
On the early morning of 21 February, 2002 Human Rights Activist Syed Jahed Hossain who is well known for One Million Signatures Campaign for Stop Torture and Extra Judicial Killing In Bangladesh Campaign was attack in Shohid miner, Chittagong. He was stabbed by some political activist. Hossain have been attacked and tortured by the Bangladesh government in 1999 also. Syed is currently on the Hit List by Ansarullah Bangla Team.
